Dodger Mail Day.... and a new 1986 Topps TTM Return


Couple of trade packages from reddit as well as a lone 1986 Topps TTM return. Let's see what we got.


Starting this thing off with this 2019 Stadium Club Black Parallel Pee Wee Reese. This guy has always been one of my favorite Dodgers and most of the time, his personality comes through even on his cardboard.  Sadly, I don't own many of the 2019 Stadium Club Dodgers. I think I have 1 base, 2 red parallels and this black parallel now.


Getting me closer to my 2019 Heritage team set here. Most of what I still need from these are the low number Dodgers, SP's and Variants.


I normally don't buy any Bowman products so these are a welcome addition to my Dodgers PC. This Gavin Lux is the first card of him i own. 


A 2019 Bowman Blue Kershaw Parallel. My Kershaw parallel collection is getting out of hand, nah not really. I'll still take any I can get.


It's November and this is the 1st 2019 Topps Gold Dodger in my collection. Well, I do have the Muncy All Star Game Gold Parallel from Update. Hopefully, I can score more 19 Golds soon.

Another 2018 Topps Koufax insert. How many Koufax cards did Topps produce last year? 


Base 2019 Big League Justin Turner. I still haven't bought any Big League so if anyone has more Dodgers from this set get at me.


My lone 1986 Topps TTM return today, #399 Bill Swift. Bill also signed a 1992 Topps for me. I enclosed a couple of cards of him with the Giants but he kept those 2. Thanks to Bill for helping me knock another off the 86's.

Don't act like you know how much I wanted LJN's SportsTalk when I was a kid. Because you have no idea. I saw all the commercials. Saw them at the mall. Couldn't afford them. The player was like $25 if I remember correctly and packs of like 5 cards were $4. That was sacrificing alot of 50 cent per pack baseball back then, and alot of days not eating lunch at school so I could save that extra dollar. By the time I had enough money saved to buy the player and a pack, they were all gone. This thing flopped on Nintendo's Virtual Boy levels. I never saw them again. Recently while browsing the Trading Card Database, I ran across a few of the SportsTalk Dodgers and had to have them. Steve Sax, Mike Marshall and Orel Hershiser. I now have a John Tudor and Kirk Gibson on the way as well leaving me needing Tommy Lasorda, Fernando Valenzuela and the Brooklyn Dodgers' Don Drysdale and Duke Snider.  Now to find me a player as well. 2018 Topps Futu...

Valentine's Surprise from my Better Half

The last week and a half have been a blur. I took a promotion at work a few weeks back and it has really taken its toll on my free time. I haven't been posting. I haven't been commenting. I've been a bad blogger. I've also been neglecting packages from TCDB. I have piles of new Dodgers just waiting to be shown off here. Valentine's Day arrived and my better half really outdid herself with these amazing Dodger cookies she got made from a local baker. As good as they look, they tasted even better. 1994 Fleer Pro Cards San Antonio Missions team set These showed up in one of my TCDB trades, as a freebie?!?! 1991 Topps... Vintage or Junk Wax

The other night, I busted a box of 1991 Topps hoping to score the remaining Dodgers I needed and an extra Dave Walsh and Dennis Cook to send out for ttm. I wasn't expecting anything special as I had opened many packs of these back in 1991, but about halfway through busting this box, I was thinking "Wow! This is a pretty good looking set." The photography in this set amazed me as I just did not remember it being this good. It really got me to thinking about the legacy of this set and how its tarnished by the whole junk wax era. 1991 Topps is gonna be turning 29 years old soon, and it's not junk.
